Home Support
At New Futures we pride ourselves on working really closely with families to build open trusting relationships and feel this is vital to enhancing pupil progress. We work closely with families and gain a greater understanding of family life, if needed we can signpost or make referrals to outside agencies, for example, financial or housing support, mental health support, school nurse etc. Staff offer support in a variety of ways and whatever suits the family best, over the telephone, popping into school or visits to the family home.

New futures offer a family learning course called Trauma Perceptive Practice, this is offered either one to one or in small group sessions. This course supports parents to gain a greater understanding of their child's behaviour and how to support their emotional well-being. For more information about this please speak to school staff.
